Revamp your Pinboard!

The summer is winding down to the new term and I need to get myself mildy organised so I don't drown in a sea of coursework and overdue blogposts. Enter the pinboard.

This little fellow lived in my kitchen for many years, proudly displaying a mixture of party invites, shopping lists and taxi cab company cards.
However as smartphones started eating our brains the poor pinboard became neglected and musty, and my parents took him down, leaving him round the house for me to stumble across and utilise.
As we embark on our magical organisational journey together, I thought I'd give him a lovely new look for his new home...

I covered my pinboard with some wrapping paper I bought in paperchase (£3). I made the title by typing it out in photoshop, mirroring it and then printing it. After that I stuck it to the back of a brown paper primark bag (any brown paper would do, obviously). Then I cut the letters out again, when you flip them over they are the right way round, and I stuck them down.

I overreached a bit, tried to be clever and draw shadowing onto my letters. After trying out several pens and picking one which was clearly too thick, ever hopeful Grace strode on... and it didn't turn out as well as she planned...
I'll never learn.

Alternatively you could do what I also did and just stick pins in a tangerine. Half the effort, double the fun!
