Weekend Outings...

So I spent this weekend with a new friend, and we wanted to cram as much as possible into the weekend before we had to go back to school and have our souls smooshed under the iron fist of A level deadlines. We planned a really arty weekend, we were going to a small graphic art fair on Saturday and then see Submarine in the Curzon Cinema in the evening.
The film was really good, not laugh out loud funny, but overall humerous and feel-good. We looked around and realised we were the youngest in the cinema, which is wierd because it seemed to be aimed at a younger audience? Maybe I'm wrong but I really enjoyed it and highly reccomend it.

'Pick Me Up' the graphic art fair was equally impressive. I felt a little out of my depth when I got there, most of the people there were in their mid to late twenties, really fashionable inter-racial couples. Most of the men had a beard and checked shirt look, and all the women looked really arty and interesting. Despite the fact that all of the art was way out of my price range,  I had a great time looking and I found some really amazing artists, there's a link to some of the artists websites here.

They also had a 'cinema' with lots of short films which blew my mind and planted loads of new ideas for projects into my recently dried out mind (school is draining my life juices out of me). Near the end of the exhibition I stumbled across an intricately set up 'mini world' for no apparent reason. After seeing the man on the mac and a nearby green screen, I concluded that they were videoing people and shrinking them into this mini world. We didn't stick around to see the end results as we had to leave to return to school...score.
